President Shariff Briefed Parliamentarians
Mogadishu; Bar-kulan: The president of Somalia, Sheikh Sheriff Sheikh Ahmed has today met with the parliamentarians in Mogadishu. President Sheriff briefed the MPs on his over seas trips and the discussions he had with other world leaders.
The president thanked the MPs for their tireless support and cooperation with the executive. He said the institution motivates him and gives him hope in the country’s future.
The president also assured the law makers that the world was ready to support the TFG to make Somalia a peaceful country. Sheriff urged the MPs to work hard to ensure that the government succeeds.
President Sheriff had earlier visited different countries in the world and met with other leaders where they discussed possible solutions and support to the war torn country.
He also participated in the recently concluded AU summit in Uganda where some AU member countries pledged an additional 4000 troops to be deployed urgently.
