Hand Grenade Kills One Child in Kismayo
Kismayo: Bar-kulan; a four year old child died and four others were injured today after a hand grenade they were playing with exploded in Kismayo. The explosion occurred near the former meat industry.
The ages of the injured children are said to be between three to six years old. They have been taken to Kismayo general hospital for treatment.
Some of the parents of those children communicated to Bar-kulan’s Juba regions office. They said that their children were now recovering in hospital.
Kismayo residents are worried of the industry which they suspect to have many explosive devices inside. The industry was not functioning for quite some time.
They asked NGOs and experts to help in getting rid of land mines and explosives that might have been hidden in the industry.
