Psychiatric hospital Opened in Guriel
Guriel: Bar-kulan: A psychiatric hospital to cater for the mentally ill persons in Guriel has been opened. The hospital was set up by the local business people and area youth groups.
The director of the new hospital Dr. Osman Gele Jama’a told radio Bar-kulan that they will provide medicine, food and shelter to their patients. Dr. Osman who is a psychiatric doctor will work with nurses who are able to cater for the mentally ill people.
Dr. Osman also asked health organizations and the Somalis in their diaspora to generously donate funds to the hospital.
The opening of the psychiatric hospital was welcomed by different members of the society. They said that there was the need to offer health services to the mad people in Guriel who have recently increased in numbers.
Dignitaries who spoke during the opening ceremony of the hospital thanked the businessmen and the youth for establishing the health facility.
